The atmosphere is charming with notable historical character, presenting itself as a cozy spot. The interior decor sports an inviting rustic vibe, complete with traditional furnishings that add a unique touch to the experience.
The mattress in the standard twin room left much to be desired. it felt extremely cheap and lacked support, making sleep elusive and restless. The noise from the toilet system disrupted the night further, adding to the discomfort. the bathroom lacked any countertop space for toiletries, making it less convenient. Another issue stems from the heating in the apartment—I found the bathroom particularly chilly and uncomfortable due to the lack of heat, which made showering a hassle. although the location has its charm, the experience was marred by these specific shortcomings, which could be a dealbreaker for some.

Quaint pub experience with lovely local charm
We enjoyed our stay in the spacious Standard Twin Room, which perfectly fit our needs for a one-night visit. The retro feel of the pub and engaging karaoke nights added a delightful touch to our experience. The location was central, making it easy to explore Fakenham, and having a private parking area was a major convenience. One aspect that could be improved is the potential noise from the karaoke nights, but it didn't significantly detract from our stay.

Convenient and cozy stay!
Had a solid time here. The room was comfy and had a small fridge, which was super handy! It's above a pub, so there’s some street noise, but not too terrible. The shared bathroom was at the end of the corridor. Plus, the bar area was nice for a quick drink. Just watch out if you're a light sleeper!

Charming, Charming, Charming
I absolutely loved the delightful retro vibes as I stepped into this cozy pub! My spacious room above the bustling bar made it so convenient to join in on the fun without any hassle. The surprise cereal boxes and in-room refreshments were a sweet finding, adding that personal touch that truly made my stay unique!
Strongly recommend! 🥰✨

The unique charm above a lively pub adds character and local flavor to the experience. Live music on weekends brings a vibrant atmosphere, drawing a diverse crowd and creating a sense of community.
Arriving without prior warning about the loud band playing directly below can really throw off your plans, especially if you need a good night's sleep before an early start. We returned to our room at 6 pm, but were subjected to a rock band blasting away until after midnight. it felt like trying to sleep in a space cruiser during a hyperspace jump. The decor in the shared bathroom felt dated, and there were more than a few moments when the shared facilities didn't meet expectations for privacy or cleanliness. Missing the check-out time by a mere 20 minutes led to my things being unceremoniously dumped in the hallway, which was frustrating, given the easy solution could’ve been a quick call. So, while the atmosphere has its high points, some communication and upkeep might make the experience a whole galaxy better.

I spent one night at the Rampant Horse Public House in Fakenham. The location was great for exploring the area. The check-in process was smooth, and the hosts were friendly. I appreciated the spacious twin room, clean bedding, and comfortable beds. It felt quite inviting. the pub was licensed until 2 am, and I could hear some noise late into the night, which might be an issue for light sleepers. The shared bathroom was functional but could use minor touch-ups for a better experience.

Spent two nights enjoying the quirky charm of this place. The friendly barmaid made my stay memorable with great conversations. Karaoke was surprisingly fun! Don't forget to ask for fresh towels. Be ready for a retro vibe, but if you embrace it, you'll have a good time.

The Rampant Horse Public House provided a clean and comfortable room that was well-equipped with a fridge stocked with milk and orange juice. The location is excellent for exploring North Norfolk, making it ideal for business travelers. The atmosphere was surprisingly quiet despite being above a busy pub, allowing for a good night's rest.

The twin room was clean and had a comfortable bed, providing a good level of storage and a fridge, perfect for a solo traveler. Shared bathroom facilities were manageable with the limited number of rooms. loud music from the pub made for a disruptive experience, and I found it quite hard to get a good night’s sleep. While the location offered free parking, I was disappointed that no cooked breakfast was served, even with many nearby options available.
